Abstract
|
|
|
Primary melanoma of the oral cavity is a rare tumor, comprising 0.2-8% of all melanomas an 0.073% of all cancers. The site of predication is the maxilla, predominating palate and maxillary gingiva.
This is the case report of the primary malignant malignant melanoma occuring on the maxillary gingiva, mandibular alveolar ridge, and maxillary sinus. One case was finally diagnosed with amelanotic melanoma. Others were pigmented nodular types.
